The Beginner-Level Electoral Trainings
Topics to be covered during the Beginner-level Electoral Campaign Training Sessions include:
- Making the Decision to Run for Public Office
- Basic Campaign Research
- Campaign Planning
- Campaign Research and Staffing
- Campaign Finance Laws
- Fundraising and Budgeting
- Message Development and Delivery
- Getting Free and Paid Media Exposure
- Grassroots Field Organizing (working with volunteers, targeting, persuasion mail, getting out the vote)
- The Role of the Democratic and Republican parties in your campaign
Participants will receive a campaign tool kit and a list of organizations and publications they can consult further should they decide to run for office.
Training of Fifty plus One Trainers
We are seeking women with electoral campaign experience on the local-, state-, or national- level to participate in our Training of Trainers. Women with experience in:
- Message Development and Delivery
- Grassroots Field Organizing
- Fundraising
are invited to participate in our training of trainers.
If you would like to become a Fifty plus One Trainer, please complete a Fifty plus One Training of Trainers Needs Assessment, and return it to Fifty plus One.
